Understanding website visits
We use PostHog’s US cloud to understand page visits, button and link clicks, enquiry and advisor form activity, and how Ask Umber is used. Events include timestamps, page paths, browser and device information, and a random session ID. We do not use your email or phone number as your analytics identity.
Our PostHog events exclude form values, chat questions and answers, and URL query parameters. Session recordings are disabled. The session ID is kept in your browser’s session storage and refreshed after 30 minutes of inactivity.
Your conversations with Ask Umber
Ask Umber sends your questions and recent conversation to its AI provider to answer you. Please do not share medical, identity, bank or policy details. If private conversation logging is enabled, we store automatically redacted questions and answers, response status and anonymous session IDs in Supabase to improve our guidance. Automated redaction is imperfect, so please keep sensitive details out of chat. Logging is disabled when you opt out of analytics.
When you contact our team
Contact and advisor forms send the details you choose to provide so our team can respond. They are separate from website analytics. For questions about your information, email info@umberinsurance.com.
Google Maps reviews
Our homepage displays customer reviews supplied by Google Maps. Review data is requested through our server when you reach the review section. Reviewer images load from Google, and links to reviews or reviewer profiles open Google Maps. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
By using the Google Maps content on this website, you agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service, including the incorporated Google Terms of Service. Reviews describe individual customer experiences.
Your analytics preference
You can disable PostHog analytics in this browser. We also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. This choice does not affect the forms or assistant.
